Course Objective
Digital Particle Image Velocimetry (DPIV) is a measuring technique that provides flow visualization and quantitative measurement of a velocity field. It is based on an image processing approach where sequential digitized images recorded during a fluid flow are analyzed to obtain fluid and particles velocity. In particular the workshop goal is to train in the use of JPIV open source platform (https://eguvep.github.io/jpiv/index.html) for 2D Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) to process image related to microfluidic two-phase process, as cell suspension in a fluid and immiscible fluids.

Requirements: Basics knowledge on signal analysis (Correlation and Spectral analysis), image processing.
Note: The attendees need to use a personal computer with installed the JPIV and possible the ImageJ
Course length:   2 hours
