The Polytechnic Institute of Porto (Porto Polytechnic), the University of Beira Interior, and the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro are organizing the CIRMARE 2025 – VII International Congress on Building Recovery, Maintenance, and Rehabilitation, to be held in Porto, Portugal, from November 17 to 19, 2025.
Since its inception, CIRMARE has served as an international forum for disseminating and sharing recent scientific developments in the field of building recovery, maintenance, and rehabilitation, encompassing the areas of civil engineering, architecture, and related sciences.
Today, CIRMARE continues to be a leading multidisciplinary congress for professionals in engineering and architecture, as well as for students and researchers from Portugal, Brazil, Latin American countries, and other continents.
Researchers, academics, and professionals in the fields of engineering, architecture, and construction are therefore encouraged to participate in the event, which will offer a diverse technical program. The program includes internationally renowned keynote speakers and various parallel sessions featuring presentations on a wide range of topics, including emerging areas with a strong focus on innovation and development.
Under the overarching theme “New Challenges in the Adaptation and Preservation of Built Heritage,” CIRMARE 2025 aims to contribute to knowledge and promote best practices in building recovery, maintenance, and rehabilitation. The congress seeks to drive resilience and adaptation of built heritage while identifying new disruptive solutions to address the current and future needs of society, striving to be more ecological, sustainable, and digital.
