
Mohammad Samadi holds a PhD in Computer Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia and is a PhD researcher at the Polytechnic Institute of Porto. He also collaborates with the SoftCPS Laboratory and INESC TEC. Mohammad has worked in industry as a software engineer, mainly in the development of information systems on different platforms. His research interests include software systems and artificial intelligence, with a specific focus on optimizing the performance of the Internet of Things and cyber-physical systems using intelligent and automated techniques. He has also served as a referee and reviewer for scientific journals and conferences, as well as a lecturer and supervisor at universities.
Mohammad’s PhD work contributed to three EU projects, including ELASTIC (H2020 grant agreement 825473), AMPERE (H2020 grant agreement 745601) and MATISSE (H2020 grant agreement 101140216), and two Spanish projects, including RESPECT (Departament de Recerca i Universitats de la Generalitat de Catalunya record 2021 PROD 00179) and HiPART (ID PID2023-148117NA-I00). Most of these projects are carried out by multiple institutions and companies from various countries and are primarily funded by the EU’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation program.
He participated in the AMPERE project, applying the implementation of heuristic task-to-thread mapping in LLVM, in the GenerIoT project, leading ISEP’s participation in deliverable 5.4 for final demonstrators and mentoring the monthly meeting of work package 5, as well as in the MATISSE project, leading ISEP’s tasks, especially task 5.1 for standardization and the development of the modelling approach for renewable energy communities in collaboration with other partners.
