SoftCPS Researcher Carlos Gonçalves served as president of the jury for the PhD defense of Rubén Romero González that took place on the 9th of June, at the Universidade de Vigo.
The PhD examination also included Professor Alma María Gómez Rodríguez (Universidade de Vigo) and Professor Carolina Zato Domínguez (Universidade de Salamanca).
Rubén Romero González successfully defended his doctoral dissertation entitled “Transferring Image Convolution Principles to Text: Methods for Efficient Handling of BigText Data”, presenting a rigorous and insightful research work that demonstrated strong scientific expertise.
His dissertation, supervised by Professor Eva Lorenzo Iglesias and Professor Lourdes Borrajo, represents a significant contribution to the field of efficient large-scale text dataprocessing.
