REWATER was disseminated at the public event An Open Sea of Innovation organised by CIIMAR. The event was prepared for the wide campaign Europe in My Region, which encourages citizens to discover European projects near them. About 300 visitors were received in CIIMAR where they could obtain information about the main objectives of REWATER and the technologies under development, including those directed to the removal of important emerging contaminants from wastewater. Through practical observation, they got familiarised with ecotoxicological approaches, organisms and their developmental stages used to investigate the performance of removal technologies to reduce the toxicity of tertiary wastewater effluents, improving their quality for safe reuse.
