The DigiMaTRIA project, developed in partnership between the iBuilt and GECAD teams from ISEP, Garcia Garcia, INESCTEC and GAR.COM, aims to integrate automatic inspection technologies through the monitoring of critical factors that influence the degradation of industrial assets.

The project is based on the development of a Digital Twin with advanced predictive capabilities, which will serve as the main decision-support tool for maintenance managers, with a special focus on monitoring the exterior envelope of assets.

The service to be developed will integrate, for example, the following components:

• Robotic inspection technologies for the digital reconstruction of the asset, including automatic UAV flight planning tools (drones) and sensing systems;
• Assisted methodologies for anomaly detection and degradation state classification, based on data collected by sensors installed on the asset, using sensor data fusion and computer vision;
• Development of the architecture of a digital platform that aggregates all collected data and processes information with advanced predictive capabilities, providing continuous assessment of the asset’s degradation state as well as an intuitive interface for the end-user.
