The Polytechnic of Porto – School of Engineering (ISEP), the University of Beira Interior, and the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro held CIRMARE 2025 in Porto, Portugal, from November 17 to 19, 2025.

Since its inception, CIRMARE has established itself as an international forum for disseminating scientific developments in the field of building recovery, maintenance, and rehabilitation, bringing together contributions from civil engineering, architecture, and related disciplines.

The congress has consolidated its role as a multidisciplinary meeting point for professionals, students, and researchers from Portugal, Brazil, Ibero-American countries, and other continents, featuring a diverse technical program, international keynote speakers, and several parallel sessions focused on emerging topics.

Under the main theme “New Challenges in Adapting and Preserving the Built Heritage”, CIRMARE 2025 promoted sustainable, digital, and resilient practices in building rehabilitation and maintenance, highlighting innovative approaches and disruptive solutions to address current and future societal challenges.
