{"id":1142,"date":"2025-06-25T21:13:42","date_gmt":"2025-06-25T20:13:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www2.isep.ipp.pt\/softcps\/?p=1142"},"modified":"2025-10-19T16:58:13","modified_gmt":"2025-10-19T15:58:13","slug":"outstanding-paper-award-at-isorc-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www2.isep.ipp.pt\/softcps\/?p=1142","title":{"rendered":"Outstanding paper award at ISORC 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The paper &#8220;Supporting Soft Real-Time Tasks in Zephyr with Constant Bandwidth Servers&#8221;, authored by SoftCPS researchers Alexander Paschoaletto, Paulo Baltarejo Sousa, Luis Miguel Pinho and Tiago Carvalho, received an &#8220;Outstanding Paper Award&#8221;, at the <a href=\"https:\/\/isorc.github.io\/2025\/\">28th IEEE International Synpoisum on Real-Time Distributed Computing (ISORC 2025) Conference<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>IEEE ISORC was founded in 1998 (with its first meeting in Kyoto, Japan) to address research into the application of real-time object-oriented distributed technology. Since then, ISORC has continually evolved to meet the latest challenges faced by researchers and practitioners in the real-time domain, with an emphasis on object-, component- and service-oriented systems and solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The paper proposes an approach to extend the Zephyr open-source real-time operating system, currently maintained by the Linux Foundation, to support aperiodic tasks with Constant Bandwidth Servers (CBS).
