Several team members of the REWATER project were present in the "II Workshop on Electrochemical Devices / II Workshop ElectroBionet" which was held in Mieres (Spain) (November 9 & 10, 2017) to present results attained in WP2 ((Bio)Sensor-based fast screening methods for MMDs detection) regarding Paper-based disposable electrodes for the determination of the anti-inflammatory drug diclofenac.

REWATER was disseminated during the Porto Water Innovation Week 2017: PWIW. For seven days, the City of Porto (Portugal) became the European capital of water and innovation. A set of three major events gathered over 800 participants, including decision makers and technicians of utilities, political leaders, regulators, industry and agriculture representatives, investigators, tech companies, startups, SME’s, investors, and young professionals. These events were hosted by the Municipality of Porto, with the institutional support of European Commission and the Government of Portugal.

The REWATER project was subject of an item in a Portuguese newspaper (Jornal de Notícias).

May 13, 2017  

REWATER was disseminated at the public event An Open Sea of Innovation organised by CIIMAR. The event was prepared for the wide campaign Europe in My Region, which encourages citizens to discover European projects near them. About 300 visitors were received in CIIMAR where they could obtain information about the main objectives of REWATER and the technologies under development, including those directed to the removal of important emerging contaminants from wastewater. Through practical observation, they got familiarised with ecotoxicological approaches, organisms and their developmental stages used to investigate the performance of removal technologies to reduce the toxicity of tertiary wastewater effluents, improving their quality for safe reuse.
