Key objectives

•Consolidation of an international cooperative network of scientific entities between Europe and South America

•Utilization of state-of-the-art methodologies and innovative techniques to screen and identify GM soybean and maize in food and feed from several regions

•Development of different types of innovative biosensing approaches, namely genosensors and immunosensors, with optical, electrochemical and piezoelectric transduction for the rapid and economical detection of authorised and unauthorised GMO food and feedstuffs

•Gathering information about the prevalence of GMO present in food and feed

•Production and dissemination of core scientific knowledge and “know-how” between Europe and South America

•Establishment of strong basis for future collaborations and scientific activities
